Esther Manon Siddiquie (*1990 in Bochum) ist als Choreografin und Performance-Künstlerin an der Grenze zwischen Performance und Tanz tätig. Mit Einflüssen aus Film sowie bildender Kunst arbeitet Siddiquie im Ruhrgebiet, Berlin, New York und London.
In New York setzt sie sich interdisziplinär mit den Differenzen zwischen freiwilliger und unfreiwilliger Migration und Mobilität am Beispiel von Gilles Deleuzes und Felix Guattaris‘ Theorie des glatten und gekerbten Raums auseinander. Über tänzerische Performances veranschaulicht sie sesshaftes und nomadisches Verhalten an der Beziehung von Punkt und Linie: Während in sesshaften Kulturen der Punkt über der Linie dominiert – ein Punkt wird gesetzt, ein zweiter hinzugefügt, eine Entfernung gemessen und schließlich durch eine Linie verbunden – steht beim Nomaden hingegen die Linie über dem Punkt – anstatt Relationen und Entfernungen zu messen, schreitet er voran. Seine Karte zeigt keine Geometrie, sondern die Linie des Weges.
