Today I read in Martina Löw “Raumsoziologie” (indeed a very good book!) a quotation by Siegfried Kracauer:
“The images of space are the dreams of the society. Wherever the hieroglyphe of a space image is deciphered, you see the basic principle of the social reality.” (Translation by M.S.)
So what dreams Dortmund at the Phoenix See? And what basic principle of our society can we decipher there, between “Am Remberg” and the “Emscheraue”?
