Yuraq Janca, White Andean Mouintag Range is the title for a non-fiction
transmedia project. Using various platforms and media we want to convey
the stories of individuals, communities and organizations that are
facing the impacts of climate change and who are actively involved in
the creation of knowledge around glacier retreat in the Peruvian Andes.
My research will take me to Huaráz, a city that play a crucial rol in
the story. I will search for achive material that document the
challenging relation between the city and the Andean Environment. In
times where humans are the main force of influence on earth,
Anthropogenic climate change is the most significant crisis our planet
faces today. As glaciers melt and sea levels rise, people and
environment face unprecedented challenges and transformations.
