The high-speed train connects Hong Kong and Shenzhen, it only takes a few minutes to get to the mainland. Arriving in Shenzhen, I first explored the OTC neighborhood, a mix of fast-growing high-rise buildings and simple buildings from the early years of the young and fast-growing city in southern China. The balconies are barred almost everywhere, creating additional space for a variety of uses.
